Atlantic Immigration Program
The Atlantic Immigration Program was introduced to assist foreign skilled workers to work and settle in the Atlantic provinces of Canada. This program is also useful for international graduates wishing to stay and settle in Atlantic Canada after graduation. There are 3 different programs.
Atlantic International Graduate Program
- Have a degree, diploma, or other credentials from a publicly funded institution in one of the Atlantic provinces.
- Have lived in an Atlantic province for 16 of the last 24 months, before getting your degree, diploma, or credential.
- Prove your English or French communication skills through a formal language test.
- Prove your ability to support yourself and your family when you come to Canada.
Atlantic High-Skilled Program
- Have at least 1 year of work experience in management, professional, or technical/skilled job.
- Have a Canadian high school diploma or equivalent education.
- Prove your English or French communication skills through a formal language test.
- Prove your ability to support yourself and your family when you come to Canada.
Atlantic Intermediate-Skilled Program
- Have at least 1 year of work experience in a job that requires a high school education and/or job-specific training for at least a year.
- Have a Canadian high school diploma or equivalent education.
- Prove your English or French communication skills through a formal language test.
- Prove your ability to support yourself and your family when you come to Canada.
