  • The full application approval for Permanent Residency. (You must have a sponsor and complete the initial application for Permanent Residency with the Canadian Government.)
  • Submission of the renewal application with the Canadian Government.
  • Demonstrate that you have not abused your status as a Permanent Resident.
  • Be present in Canada for 730 days out of the 5 years.

  • If your card is lost or stolen.
  • If your status expires within 9 months.
  • If you need to update your name and address.
  • If you have not received the card within 180 days since you entered Canada.
